Hey everybody, I know its been a long long time since I last posted something here. I have been very busy with other things as some may already know. This time I bring news of an upcoming online event that you will not want to miss!

Can’t get out to go see your favorite band or DJ play in the clubs on New Years eve? Don’t fret, just get online with Cast The Fire and listen to DJs from around the world spinning the hottest music ever. Starting at around 4PM U.S. Eastern time, the fun all starts with DJ Vicar spinning some awesome fun for the English new year.

Don’t go gettin your panties in a bunch just cause you think "well I can’t make it that early to hear it!" I have news for you folks, the party is going all night long….likely till the break of dawn in the Pacific coast. DJ Sixty-Six (myself) will be spinning from 11 PM to 12:05 AM Pacific time to count down to New Years for us "coasties". I’ll hand it over to Kaptain Kaffeine aka White Ranger to spin out the rest of the morning.

I’ll also mention that several DeepLife Records artists/djs are spinning sets as well. dj404 who owns Cast The Fire is likely to spin a set. I believe I heard DeeFlash has a set. Karl Forde has a slammin drum n bass set which will knock your socks off.

For those of you fans of Karl Forde who previously heard his initial debut EP release entitled "Eternal Future", there are a few more new tracks out already in time for you to buy them for your loved ones and download them to their ipods! Not only that, but 3 more new tracks are due out in January or February sometime.

Stay tuned into Cast The Fire for the latest in great christian electronic dance music, as that’s where the DJs who are truly connected to the scene with the producers are spinning. That’s www.castthefire.com for those of you who haven’t been there.

As of June 22, 2007, the station we know and love as OneLifeRadio.com is doing the OL’ SWITCHEROO and becoming CastTheFire.com. WHY? Well because we felt that it was time to move in a new direction while still keeping the best features of OLR.
We are adding new features such as our main attraction, podcasts, as well as the ability to stream audio on-demand and download files. We are also adding the ability for us to host Mixsets, Sermon Audio, other’s podcasts, and a grip more. Finally we are moving in the direction of sharing promo tracks exclusively for DJ’s and industry professionals.

We will still be doing our live transmissions as you know them from OLR, but the station’s stream will only be live when we are actually broadcasting. If you would like to have your very own show on CastTheFire, head on over to our new home and email us!

We also have T-shirts and stickers for your ride available. It is time to Cast The Fire.

www.castthefire.com

Is CHRISTIAN electronic music the new underground? I’ve heard it said before and I’m beginning to think its true. It used to be that all of the good new music was in the rave scene and then would trickle out into the internet and store shelves. Now when I look for traditional electronic music anywhere, I find that the music seems generally boring or has too much of a political or sinful feel. I recently listened to a mixset which really turned me off when it started a vocal that pretty much promoted pornography as being cool. I don’t find that kind of music to be entertaining. What makes a song groovy anyways? Its an element which I have not heard so much in the typical scene lately.

One thing that gives our christian electronic scene a lot of merit is the fact that the producers are coming up with honest original music. (more…)

As a DJ you want to know what music is out there to be played. You want to know where to meet other DJs and producers and mingle with like-minded individuals. Even just as a fan of christian electronic music you want to know where to find great new music and when you can go and see it performed live. Well, here’s my contribution to the scene to help steer you in the right direction.

As most DJs and producers well know, TastyFresh is pretty much the premier site online for finding like-minded people and even fans. Like TechnoChristian, it started out pretty humble, then added a forum which is when it really started to gain its momentum. Little did I realize this when it happened and only found out just about 2 years ago. Their forums are very good with many people involved and looking regularly. In fact, odds are if you make a post there, you’ll get a couple of responses no matter who you are. I am only beginning to realize the power of forums..

Next, you obviously have TechnoChristian which you are in fact looking at right now (aren’t you?). (more…)
