Firstly we have been advertising OLR through our Aloft website, ShoutLife pages and word of mouth. When people tune in they don't find any shows due to the time-difference over here. Would it be possible to repeat all OLR's live shows at the same times each week and put this on the schedule so we can tell those in the UK when the regular shows are on.

What do you think?

I don't really know what to expect from this thread, but recently, I posted a message on the Tastyfresh Forums expressing my personal dissatisfaction in the continuous low listeners that the station has. I'd love to pretend that we have a big following, but we probably only have a handful.

So here's the thing, I was planning on taking the station down, but for some reason our faithful few have decided to show some love and offer to do what it takes to keep the station alive. I'm gonna run with it for a lil' bit, so now I am opening the floor for discussion and ideas on what we can do to get our current listeners to listen longer and generate new listeners.

I recently launched a new format that I call Hot Mix, which is basically borrowing from Top 40, but leaning to more dance-oriented tunes. Is that working? I know it's not professional for the station to open up like this, but I think we are different. We are not a corporation, rather we are a handful of guys across the world trying to bring you a great station.

So, I ask you, what can we do to make it the best Christ-based station?

Cool, I'll see what I can do to fix that problem where you don't have an edit feature showing up..

What I really like about these forums though, is that besides looking nice, they have some really good RSS integration. There is an RSS feed for entire forums, one for each individual forum, one for each topic, and one for every member.

Its easy to keep tabs on what you write for example, ..because I've subscribed to YOUR rss feed in google reader...and I have a google notifier in my firefox browser that lets me know whats new.

Oh yeah, thats not exactly about OLR...so um, WOOHOO for the new OLR site! I was thinking about creating a cool (Adobe) Apollo web application for OneLifeRadio that integrated the stream and the chat room and the forums. Of course its all um...just in the thought processes right now.

Hi glock,

I don't know what country you are from, but I can suggest that you take a look at the Techno Sites page here on TechnoChristian.com, and also the upcoming reworked Assembly of Groove Directory of Christian Electronic Dance Music.

I would highly suggest that you go check out www.noisychristians.com when it comes back up. Go to www.beatport.com and look for the label DeepLife Records.

Also TastyFresh.com is the main place most people know of for finding christian electronic music. I'd suggest checking out the forums there.

Be blessed,

Hi

You may have heard about this from Carey Jarvis but if not this is a copy of an e-mail I've just received from from him regarding 'QuillRoader' looking for a radio station to air their trance show......

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stefan Pluym and Alfred van de Wege produce beautiful Trance music under the name Quillroader. In addition to making music, for more than a year they also played it out weekly on their radio show every Friday night on the national Dutch radio station Yam-FM. The station has recently went off the air, but Quillroader are looking to continue making a weekly mixshow that's similar to what Armin van Buuren does with "A State of Trance."

They are currently seeking Radio Stations that are interested in carrying it!

Stations can email alfred@quillroader.com to find out more, or to request the show.

To get an idea what it might sound like, you can listen to a mixset from Alfred at the link below, and just imagine all the radio stuff added in:

http://alfred.mijn-pc.com/Spirit_of_Sunshine.mp3

You can also find out more about Quillroader by visiting their official website, and their myspace:

http://www.quillroader.com

http://www.myspace.com/quillroader

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just thought you might be interested in this.
