Wow…has it actually been that long since I last posted on here? Yes…it looks that way.
I’m of the opinion that a good successful site keeps it’s content fresh and updated. I’ve done a pretty lousy job of it so far. I’m going to have to make a commitment to maintain it. I have no excuse really, but to be honest, I haven’t been too happy with the site’s limited features. I have been wanting to create a true downloads section and load it up with all of the Cast The Fire content plus new downloads. I wanted to create an awesome podcast directory and make the site work in a more friendly and fluid way.
I simply haven’t put the effort into it for one reason or another. I have the ideas all written up and I know what it will take. It’s a matter of worrying whether I will break something by doing that, or the possibility of completely replacing the entire site and then having to import the data from the existing site to the new one. I will have to simply try it though. The fact is, that I can back up the whole site and if it breaks, I can restore it.
Seeing as the site hasn’t had a whole lot of use lately anyway,..I believe it’s going to be renovated soon with potential "under construction" signs in places (yes, I know, that’s a web dev "no-no"). I will hopefully put it all together in a quick fashion though.
