Techno & other electronic music from Christian DJs and producers. Read more...

A great place to discover great electronic music, find other fans, communicate with artists, and share everything techno. The site's owner (Sixty-Six) is clearly a follower of The Way (Jesus Christ), but the purpose of this site remains to serve the public. I simply intend to give to the public in a way which promotes decency and values. On the other hand, please do not assume that I am trying to please every one or trying not to offend everybody. There may be viewpoints herein which conflict with what you or others may believe.

As a DJ you want to know what music is out there to be played.  You want to know where to meet other DJs and producers and mingle with like-minded individuals.  Even just as a fan of christian electronic music you want to know where to find great new music and when you can go and see it performed live.  Well, here’s my contribution to the scene to help steer you in the right direction.

As most DJs and producers well know, TastyFresh is pretty much the premier site online for finding like-minded people and even fans.  Like TechnoChristian, it started out pretty humble, then added a forum which is when it really started to gain its momentum.  Little did I realize this when it happened and only found out just about 2 years ago.  Their forums are very good with many people involved and looking regularly.  In fact, odds are if you make a post there, you’ll get a couple of responses no matter who you are.  I am only beginning to realize the power of forums..

Next, you obviously have TechnoChristian which you are in fact looking at right now (aren’t you?).  It started shortly after Tastyfresh, however I simply did not know what to do with it until last year when I finally broke down and tried another web portal program and decided this one was worth using.  I’ve only begun putting up useful stuff here, and you may get bored after a little while.  At least it is nice to look at.  Its got forums now too, albeit with a couple of minor bugs that can be overlooked for now.  My favorite feature of this site is the RSS feeds for EVERYTHING.  The forums here even have RSS feeds which include a separate feed for each forum, each post, and even every USER.  How sweet is that?  I’m currently monitoring dj404’s posts in my google reader since every time he says something its pretty darn cool.  I’m a technology geek so I’m going to be implementing a lot of new ideas which should be a lot of fun to use when they’re realized.

Other web sites such as dj404’s JitaBeat and Assembly of Groove sites are also sort of a resource which you shouldn’t overlook.  Although they have different purposes, they comprise of a user base which is very involved in the scene.  dj404 is heavy into the scene we’re talking about and often features the latest and greatest music from the scene and even some old school stuff too.  I listen to his shows on OneLifeRadio when I want to hear something I’ve never heard before.  Which brings me to the next one..

OneLifeRadio has been around for 2 years now and is starting to gain momentum finally.  We’re getting more shows up and keeping the stream running more often and building it like a business in order to keep it as top-notch quality as possible.  The station really doesn’t have a budget right now, but it is doing a great job with the volunteered efforts of its fantastic staff.  You’ll be finding some great information about upcoming and current DJs and producers in the scene there - especially on the weekend shows.  We have tons of great music from the scene playing in the regular playlist as well.  Yes, I am a part of the station and I sort of am plugging it here, but it is still on topic.

Next, also sort of a plug, however still relevant.  The TechnoChristian News Network.  This is fairly new and yet still very cool.  When you see this on a site (T.C.N.N. here on TechnoChristian), you can quickly check out what the latest news is from the major sites involved in the scene.  In fact, the remaining sites I would mention here are part of T.C.N.N. and you should check them out.

Last to be mentioned, but not least in any sense, is TekFunk.  This site seems mostly geared to provide DJs and producers news about the scene and the technologies being used in it.  It has a bit of a flavor of a specific sub-genre, but it is all still relevant.  It is a member of T.C.N.N., but I felt it necessary to give it mention here.
