Is CHRISTIAN electronic music the new underground?  I’ve heard it said before and I’m beginning to think its true.  It used to be that all of the good new music was in the rave scene and then would trickle out into the internet and store shelves.  Now when I look for traditional electronic music anywhere, I find that the music seems generally boring or has too much of a political or sinful feel.  I recently listened to a mixset which really turned me off when it started a vocal that pretty much promoted pornography as being cool.  I don’t find that kind of music to be entertaining.  What makes a song groovy anyways?  Its an element which I have not heard so much in the typical scene lately.

One thing that gives our christian electronic scene a lot of merit is the fact that the producers are coming up with honest original music.  (more…)

As a DJ you want to know what music is out there to be played.  You want to know where to meet other DJs and producers and mingle with like-minded individuals.  Even just as a fan of christian electronic music you want to know where to find great new music and when you can go and see it performed live.  Well, here’s my contribution to the scene to help steer you in the right direction.

As most DJs and producers well know, TastyFresh is pretty much the premier site online for finding like-minded people and even fans.  Like TechnoChristian, it started out pretty humble, then added a forum which is when it really started to gain its momentum.  Little did I realize this when it happened and only found out just about 2 years ago.  Their forums are very good with many people involved and looking regularly.  In fact, odds are if you make a post there, you’ll get a couple of responses no matter who you are.  I am only beginning to realize the power of forums..

Next, you obviously have TechnoChristian which you are in fact looking at right now (aren’t you?).  (more…)

The State of the things address:

I’d like to let people know what’s been happening.  The work I’ve been doing has included setting up a dedicated computer for TechnoChristian Radio, planning for new programming on it, creating a site for open source worship (electronic dance music style), making a new OneLifeRadio site, and making many other sites and things.

Many good things are in the works and as I go along I’m coming up with a lot more ideas.  Please jump in any time and give us some feedback or your own ideas.  Since I’ve been working so much on these things and my business and much more, I’ve taken a temporary break from working on music.  Luckily all you other producers out there are still working hard and smart on some great new tracks and mixsets.  I love to hear the new music and will play it on TechnoChristian Radio if you permit me to do so.

Please tell all of your friends about TechnoChristian Radio, because I believe they will enjoy it and be blessed by it.  It can be a powerful tool when you put some of God’s Spirit into some great sounding electronic music.  Its always uplifting and creates a worshipful atmosphere in a way that isn’t uncomfortable for too many people.  In this way, you can support us …not by donations, but by word-of-mouth.  The money needed to run things is provided and all of the tools as well.  Praise God.
