Well, it has been far too long since an update here, but here you are finally.
I’ve been working with DJ Rodimus of GodsDJs.com to drum up some plans for making some cross-site beneficial changes. He wants me to keep this site updated so that I can keep interest and traffic, so some of the things I’m planning on setting up here are DJ Charts and Downloads.
DJ Charts
I think there are some charts over at TastyFresh.com but I haven’t seen them if they’re there. I think charting is useful for people who are interested in the hottest tracks being played right now. So I’ll be trying to get something set up that will be fairly simple and seamless for DJs who are already posting their track listings. Once that’s set up, I’ll be making monthly, if not weekly updates with a new chart for the top tracks.
Downloads/Podcasts
I think this should be one of the simpler items to get running, but it will require some effort on someone’s part. I’ll probably need each DJ/producer to upload/send me their mixes and podcasts and then also provide me with some sort of description.
Eventually the podcasts ought to be streamlined so that all they need to do is drop the files with titles and descriptions in the MP3 ID3 tags into the server, and the server handles the rest as far as updating the podcast feeds and getting the site updated for the downloads.
I’ll keep you all updated on my progress, but in the meantime, lets start making more use of the awesome TechnoChristian Forums.
