Hey kiddos, it’s me again, your friendly DJ Sixty-Six.

I’m here to tell you how you can find remixes of your favorite songs today. If they exist of course.

First of all, you should be armed with standard naming convention knowledge. If you’re going to find what you’re looking for, you should know how songs are named, especially remixes. So here’s a tip:

a) Example: JHT3 - Whole Dose (Reborn remix)
b) The Artist name is first, then a dash “-”, and then the Track name, then in parenthesis “( )” the Remixer/Remix name.
c) Sometimes you might see the word “remix”, and sometimes just “mix”, and sometimes another word involving mix like “megamix” or a different word like “version”.
d) You sometimes won’t see the Remixer’s artist name, but instead just a mix name like “megaton xplosion mix”.
e) You might see something called “feat” or “ft” for short, meaning FEATURING. This usually means another artist or vocalist collaborated with the main artist or producer. Example: Genesys - Breakdown Chaos feat JHT3 (Original Mix).
f) You might see “Original Mix”. That generally means that it’s the main version of the track, unless sometimes used for the first remix of a non techno track.

Now you want to know where to look for your remixes. First of all, remember that Christian techno isn’t as commercial as other techno yet. A lot of it is in the stores that sell mp3s, but a lot isn’t too. You might be able to find some remixes on Beatport or iTunes, and other ones you may only be able to find in indie stores like CD-Baby and Sno-Cap. Don’t be discouraged.

Try googling what you’re after to see what kind of results you can find. Try googling like some of these examples:

1) Misty Edwards - Beautiful remix
2) Sixty-Six - Like No Other mix
3) Michael W. Smith trance

These should produce some fairly relevant results that ought to give you a pretty good start on finding decent remixes.

What you might keep in mind is that some results might be forum topics, and would lead you to a link to a web store or something. Sometimes you might come across erroneous topics that have truly uninformed people trying to make the claim that Christian techno doesn’t exist, and couldn’t possibly work. These people are completely wrong, and they should see what is happening on TechnoChristian and the other sites we’ve partnered with, such as GodsDJs.com and TastyFresh.com.

If you still can’t find it, post what you want in the forums, or ask somebody on GodsDJs or Tastyfresh, or send me a contact. I’ll try and help you out. Good luck finding what you’re looking for!
